After years working in wireless, I noticed something funny. Everyone wanted the latest phone—but once they got it, they all looked pretty much the same.

I wanted mine to look different without making it bigger, so I started buying phone skins and wraps. Different colors, textures, finishes—anything that could change the look of the phone without hiding it inside a case.

I tried a lot of them.

And spent way too much money doing it.

Then one day my wife looked at what I was buying and asked:

“Why don’t you just make your own?”

Fair question.

So I did.

That became PiEL.
